This is our most "content-heavy" unit, in which students take a quick tour through the key organ systems of the body.  They learn the key muscles and bones of the body, and then spend a few class periods in the High School weight room learning which exercises utilize various muscles and muscle groups of the body (basic kinesiology).

     Dissection is also included in this unit.  Then various activities are conducted focusing on certain organ systems such as:

          --finding their lung volume​

          --vision testing

          --identifying the key parts of the eye through dissecting the sheep eye

          --heart rate and basic cardiovascular function

          --learning the skill involved in dissection through the very delicate earthworm dissection

          --creating an exercise plan
